Was approached by someone from this company saying they were doing work up the street. We did ask for a quote to do some driveway repair and extend it. Apparently our job wasn't profitable enough for them. We actually had some other work to be done after seeing how our first experience would go. Sorry it didn't work. My husband was impressed by the guys who came to measure for the quote but they have no control if the company wants work or not.

Extremely overpriced company that preys on the elderly. My elderly parents hired this company after their patio was leaking after a rain. Purple was the only company they called. What they didn’t know was Purple is a general contractor who subs all the work out. This was NOT stated in the contract, even though new Ca state bill 517 requires checkboxes stating subcontractors will be used. They have a modest 1100 sq ft home, they were charged 47k for a new asphalt shingle roof. While they were working on the roof they also told my parents that their plumbing needed to be replaced. The house is definitely older and most likely needed it done. They were charged another 76k for new plumbing. While working on the plumbing what a surprise the AC stopped working! That’s another 55k for a new unit. While working on the unit they told them the whole house needed new electrical for another 40k. My mom had to finance the 40k because she had no more money to give them. Thankfully someone told her to get a second estimate. The second electrician told her most of the house had already been rewired and a few things needed to be fixed which would at most cost 8k. My mom called Purple to cancel the electrical and the finance agreement the very next morning. She had a salesman from purple the next day come barging in her house and threatening her that she was not allowed to cancel the job and he threatened a lien on her property. They told him to leave and he refused and kept at my 80 year old mom, making her cry. You heard it right he just walked into their house uninvited and threatened them with a lien. This is when I became involved, I contacted Purple asking to speak to an owner wanting to get more information. I talked to two people, one named George who “claimed” he was the owner talked very rudely and told me that they signed a contract and too bad if I didn’t like it. My second phone call was forwarded my number to Rudy who also claimed he was the owner. Rudy seemed genuinely concerned and came to the house to speak to myself and my parents, he walked through the jobs, he seemed upset that one of his employees trespassed and threatened my mother. He felt bad he said if he could help he would, I suggested he take off some money from the final payment he did he took off 4k from the 55k still owed, I wanted more but he said he couldn’t but he could do work instead. My moms trim could use some paint I asked him to paint the trim, he refused, but agreed to do a small portion under the patio where the original leak began, as well as a short section of facia on that same side of the house. My parents paid 176k for plumbing, a new roof, and a new AC unit on a small 2 bedroom home. I did tell him his prices were outrageous and he told me that we are paying premium pricing for their “superior” warranty. Now let’s see the bathroom faucet was hooked up backwards, the hot water comes out the cold side, and the cold out the hot. I told him during the walkthrough he assured me it would be fixed. When the weather got hot as hell out the AC stopped working, I called him and he never sent anyone out. When Rudy walked through the house he sure likes my dad’s classic fully restored car. He told me that he had a few of his customers cars that they sold him and he was very interested in purchasing my dad’s. I’m sure most of his elderly customers had to sell to pay for the work. At the time we told him it wasn’t for sell but a month later we told him it was for sell, he never got back to us. I think it’s because I told him an outrageous price that we like to call the “Purple” price. Last week my parents had a huge water leak coming from the main to their sprinkler system, I called Rudy to ask if he can go take a look and he said yes but we have to pay for it because the warranty does not cover that. We ended up calling two plumbers and they both confirmed that new shut off valves were installed from the main to the corroded sprinkler line so purple knowingly left it like that without giving her the option of replacing it. Purple you are the WORST!

Was approached by one of their colleagues who was walking the neighborhood and "had two jobs nearby". They wanted to give me a quote on fixing a crack in my driveway. The person was nice enough but did the classic call his manager and make sure I confirm on the phone the appointment time and that my wife would be there. Then got several calls from their sales manager whom I wont name who continued to insist that my wife needed to be present for an in-person consolation and as I told him she was not going to be available he persisted explaining a long script about how they are providing an extensive free estimate and that both parties needed to be there. Eventually after saying no multiple times I told them that this was not going to work out and he rudely kept asking to give a quote until eventually I hung up. I am sure they are decent contractors but these aggressive sales tactics are not appreciated by me and I can only imagine what an older person might be subjected to and how they might be manipulated.

True professional at their best. We needed roofing redone as it was getting a little suspect, so Purple Construction explained to my dad what needed to be corrected and the finished product was more than what we could have imagined. From day one, all of the employees were polite, hard working and cleaned up each day. Our roofing did meet all required regulations (per the city) and we are very satisfied with the finished product. If you need your roofing completed, please call Purple Construction. They won't disappoint you. Also, they do appreciate and honor the Veterans of the Armed Forces which speaks volumes.
