Great company and ensures that everything you need is accomplished

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY, they do shady business. I ultimately found another carrier for nearly half of Encore's rate! Not communicative, they take forever to do anything and just want to get you signed up and then don't care about retaining you as a long term client. Shortly after getting insured by this company I got a notice that they were going to cancel my services because electrical adjustments had to be made. I immediately told them that I spoke to 3 licensed electrical companies and they all said there was no way possible to get this work done in that short a period of time. Encore couldn't care less because as an insurance broker they took their commission from the get go and were unaffected. She keeps telling me that the fine print says we get to keep our commission no matter what, okay but I only got a few months of service before I was abruptly dropped without proper time to do the work! I waited for months and months and still no refund check! I kept calling the underwriter to figure out what was going wrong and they said it never takes that long to send out a check, Encore was no help through all this. Encore didn't care about my refund because they had already gotten their commission. The underwriter said I as the end user wasn't allowed to talk with them but still I was eventually able to speak to a manager there and if it weren't for me doing that I probably still wouldn't have my refund check. I called the underwriter and Encore once a week for months and months to get that refund. I finally got my refund for a small fraction of what the monthly rate dollars divided by 12 was. Encore kept their fat commission and could care less. They kept telling me that they would get me reinsured within the year and not charge me a second commission and ages went by and they had no offers. They then proceed to tell me that even after getting all the electrical repairs exactly up to their specifications and renovating the whole building, that I took too long for them and that they are now only able to get me insured at thousands more than what they originally quoted. Ultimately, I was able to find a different carrier at about half of what their final quote was, and even a lot less than what their original price was. Save yourself the hassle and go with a different insurance broker.
