My experience with this HR company was extremely disappointing. In my opinion, they did not handle workplace rights or discrimination concerns fairly and consistently. Instead of addressing the harmful conduct directly, they appeared to avoid confronting the responsible party and tried to close the matter through the easiest possible route.
They did not provide meaningful solutions, clear procedures, or effective corrective action. Their approach seemed focused on collecting fees while minimizing the effort required to resolve serious workplace issues. I do not believe their practices reflect the legal and professional standards expected from an HR company.
I do not trust or recommend this company. In my opinion, businesses that rely on their services may be exposing themselves to greater legal risks and potential court proceedings rather than receiving proper protection and professional guidance.

This company is wonderful. It is a highly professional HR company and smart about business and advice. I would recommend them to all employers out there. It is hard to have fair reviews for a HR company as people do get let go and everyone has a side to their story.
Modern HR is excellent in what they do!

I was hired by Metro capital group in Denver. Metro capital group partners with Modern HR to handle their HR and payroll needs. I worked in HR for the past 20 plus years and I have never seen anything like this before. Jeremiah Phipps who works for modern HR did not like me from day one despite never meeting. We spoke on the phone less than a handful of times. When I complained to the managers at metro capital about Jeremiah and and how he spoke he retaliated against me and convinced my employer metro capital to terminate my employment despite working there for 7 months and doing an excellent job for the company. He has no business working in any type of capacity in HR. There are 5 office employees that work at metro capital and not one of them liked Jeremiah. I took off for 3 sick days in 7 months. Two days because the taxi drivers got me extremely sick and 1 day for a schedule colonoscopy. His reason for terminating me was my excessive days off and work performance. However he never met me and my work performance was not sub par. I excelled at every task I was given. I highly advise anyone using this company for any reason.

Super unprofessional. I had an interview with them on zoom and Mr Holmes showed up almost 20 minutes late! Also at the end I asked the standard question “what is the next step in the process?” And Mr. Holmes goes “ Oh first we have to find somebody that we like”- implying they did not like me. I have been working in Hr for almost 15 years and I have never heard such a rude response before. The proper response would have been “I will show this to the client and let you know if they have any feedback on your resume and then we can go from there” (this particular client had 22 locations) not “we don’t like you” . For a company that prides themselves as an inclusive workplace, I am not seeing the “modern” in modern HR. 0/10 would not recommend.

This is not a 'Modern' HR company at all. I mailed via snail mail my families COBRA paperwork to them because they don't accept anything online. Well guess what, the postal service lost our package and now we are being denied coverage and there is literally nothing I can do about it because this very un-modern HR company doesn't accept COBRA applications and payment electronically. My personal information and everyone in my family and our bank information is now floating out in the universe for anyone to obtain. It is completely ridiculous. I would not recommend them for any HR services. They also messed up my husband's employers insurance, didn't know about the differences between California and Nevada insurance rules and generally were just not supportive in the process. I am beyond frustrated. No offer to help even though I asked multiple times and it's just 'Sorry, nothing we can do.'.
