They completely remodeled my main home and added both a 2-bedroom ADU and a studio to the property and the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. Best decision I made for my ADU build was going with Wizdom Construction. I met with at least 10 different General Contractors before deciding to go with RJ and Gary, and there were 3 key reasons why I ultimately decided to go with them: 1) You get two for the price of one (Gary and RJ) 2) When I asked about their subcontractors they were described "as family" 3) The fair and complete bid And here's the reasons why I will use them again on the next project: 1) Getting two for the price of one is really awesome. Gary and RJ both made site visits regularly and picked up the phone whenever I called. RJ was on top of getting the contract in place, responding to emails, and keeping the financial aspects straight and fair. Gary ran the subcontractors hard, was in regular communication with me about decision points throughout the project, and kept the job site clean with Friday trash pickups (A clean and organized job site is indicative of a good contractor) They were both always in sync with each other about project status, quality of work, and next steps, so talking to one was like talking to both. 2) The subcontractors Gary and RJ brought in were all great to work with. You could tell they had all worked together on previous projects and knew each other's rhythm, and this is important because they often needed to coordinate throughout the project to get things installed correctly and cleanly the first time around. Gary did a great job staying on top of this coordination and it ultimately led to an efficient and clean build. 3) The bid and invoicing schedule I received from RJ is exactly what you should expect from a Contractor. The bid clearly outlined what was included, and perhaps more importantly, what wasn't included, which was key for me in managing the budget. The payment schedule as presented during the bidding process was exactly followed during the project (again key for budgeting) and when we came across the inevitable "unknowns" Gary and RJ were able to offer multiple fair solutions to keep the project moving forward. I'll be giving them a call for the next project.
