Does not answer emails, I’ve been contacting them for a couple of months now while waiting for September 15, 16, and 17th. They eventually sent 3 direct deposit vouchers on 11/11/2022, but when I checked my bank account, the money was not deposited in my account. I’m still trying to get a response to my emails and phone calls..

I have been waiting months for payment on two separate projects that use Empire. When you call the office the phone goes directly to a voicemail that eventually hangs up on you after going on about how they're "working through the pandemic". We're all working through the pandemic, and its been 2 years! You are lucky to even get a response via email asking for payment or a reissued check. Either this is the biggest racket in Hollywood, or they have a constantly overworked staff who is always drowning. Regardless, it's poor business and very disheartening for people who have worked hard, and rely on this payment company for their livelihood. When you do a job, you expect to be paid in a timely manner. PERIOD.

Still waiting on two checks from September 2021, totaling over $300. It is now March 2022. I was lucky to speak with someone through email, but they continue to give me the runaround, saying they’ll update me with new information and they never do no matter how many times I follow up with them. Absolutely ridiculous. Extremely unprofessional payroll company. Not getting the money that you worked hard for, especially during these pandemic times, is incredibly infuriating!!!!

It took me almost a year to get paid from a gig in 2016, and now it's been over two years of trying to get paid from a gig in 2018. No one ever answers the phone. You stay on hold for an hour and then get disconnected. Automated responses to my e-mails get me nowhere. Talking to humans via e-mail has gotten me nowhere. Following up with those humans later on reveals their e-mail addresses to no longer be in use. This is the worst payroll company in existence.

A night mare. No working phone number. Gave me a check that was rubber. Called the Feds. Still not paid completely weeks later. Refused another check from them was told a week ago they would wire deposit to my bank account, a week later still no deposit. They threatened to complain to the production company because I was upset that 5 branches of the bank they used on 5 different days refused to cash their own check, as I tried different branches on different days hoping money would finally be added to their account. And I have still not been paid. Possibly the least reputable payroll company in Los Angeles. They only have one star because Google allows a 1 star minimum. If I could I would give them zero or negative stars, and bring on the sheriff.
