I signed up for Frontier fiber 16 months ago. It has been fairly reliable during the initial period. Last Saturday morning my internet failed, I tried in vain to reach a human customer service person but only got AI customer service. On Sunday night, I finally got the AI to make an appointment for monday afternoon for a technician to fix the problem. I waited at home on monday between 1 and 5 only to find out that it was actually an appointment for a remote tech to troubleshoot the issue. I then spent an hour on the phone with an advanced tech to try and troubleshoot the issue. At the end of the hour this worthless "expert" couldn't figure it out and made an appointment for Tuesday afternoon for a tech to come to the house.
I waited two hours for him to arrive on Tuesday and he finally admitted that Verizon, the new owner of Frontier, had done a software switch over on Saturday morning and a whole area went down. I kept getting repeated messages over the four days that they resolved the issue, after which, I would go out and reboot the fiber modem and the router, only to find put that it was still inoperable. I rebooted the system about 10 times over the four days.
The tech who arrived had to manually install the new software to get the fiber modem (ONT) working again.
I was so fed up that Frontier made it so hard to contact a human being that could actually help me. The AI customer service was useless. After all of that I decided to apply for a billing credit for the four days without internet and the AI customer service generously gave me a $14.15 credit for all of my time and trouble.
I wish that I could give them negative stars, if so, I would give them negative 5. I would stay away from Frontier if you have a choice. Frontier managed to make Cox Communications look good, I never would have imagined that was possible.

STAY AWAY FROM FRONTIER!!! They represent themselves as Verizon but you get Frontier and Direct TV!! Sure, Verizon owns them but you are NOT getting Verizon. They are sending representatives out that are hard sell that they falsely say you are getting Verizon but you are not.
My husband and I made a HUGE mistake and signed up with them. We were lucky to be able to cancel before we made a huge mistake. We realized we made a mistake when we received a Direct TV remote and box. We called Edward who signed us up and he talked in circles about Verizon owning them. We told him to please cancel our order which he DID NOT follow through. When he was here, he had us scan his badge to leave a review on how good his service was. We thought he was good when we thought we were getting VERIZON! HIGH PRESSURE ALL THE WAY!!!
We had to call several times to cancel our order several times only to be transferred to 3 or 4 agents. Each one pressuring us to not cancel our order.
Then the last agent said that someone else was in our account and he was unable to access it, and he would call us when he got into our records to cancel. Of course he never called back. This just shows you the lack of integrity of FRONTIER!! Then the installation guy came to install frontier today after we canceled it!!! We told him we canceled it and he’s begging us to let him install the equipment in Just in case we change our mind!!! If this doesn’t show a fraudulent company and their lack of integrity!! STAY AWAY FROM FRONTIER!! Look at all the one star reviews!!
