Breno finished our 48” Thermador Range Hood with a gorgeous Venetian Plaster. He is truly a gifted artist and his guidance in color and texture alternatives was invaluable! Breno well exceeded our expectations and so we highly recommend Riot Renovation! We will definitely look to Breno again on our next project!

Riot Renovation did an incredible job with our interior painting project here in San Juan Capistrano. They completely transformed our home by painting the walls, trim, and doors with flawless execution. We had them update a dated wall color, and the difference is night and day—the new palette has vastly opened up the space and made the whole house feel brighter and larger. What really stood out was their incredible attention to detail and personalized touch. Breno, the owner, was hands-on throughout the entire process, constantly checking in to ensure the quality met—and exceeded—my expectations. Whenever we hit unknowns during the project, I found myself completely trusting Breno's instincts, and he did not let us down. In fact, because they did such a phenomenal job, I've already hired them to paint our cabinets next—which is another testament to the trust I have in their work. It is rare to find that level of care, honesty, and customer service. If you want a team that genuinely cares about the final product and handles the process with total professionalism, I highly recommend Riot Renovation! I would hire them again in a heartbeat. (I'll update this review with some of my own photos soon!)

I stumbled on the Riot Renovation website as I was searching for someone to properly install wood slat paneling on a 12' high wall in our great room. Breno, the owner, responded promptly and stopped by our Laguna Woods home the next day to evaluate our project. It didn't take long to realize that his unique background and skill set were EXACTLY the expertise we needed to make our feature wall vision a reality. We had considered a few other options, such as hiring a handyman, or a painter, but given the many nuances that were to come with our feature wall project, such as extreme height, creative lighting and old wall imperfections, we just didn’t feel confident. At the end of the day (two installation days, actually), our home was impeccably refreshed. His conscientious true-French craftsmanship could not have been better suited to our needs. Breno and his assistant were always professional, but never at the cost of courtesy, respect and smiles. Every detail was as important to them as it was to us…and there were many. As a designer, myself, I admit to being a bit picky. We started with exploring the various wood slat “panels” that were on the market, eventually opting for “snow white” as our favorite color. Not many companies carry the 12’ height that we needed for our tall wall. We did not want “seams” in the wall, which would have been necessary using the more-common shorter height panels. Yes, the project was a bit more complicated in terms of handling and installing the oversized panels in a near 70-year old home. However Breno’s team never missed a beat in dealing with each step along the way…from carefully protecting our hardwood flooring, to reliable communications by phone, text and email. Breno answered all of our questions, in advance and as they arose, and the team left the workplace spotless upon completion. Twelve feet high by 13 feet wide is a lot of wall. The cost of the panels was at the top of our budget, but there was no getting around that except we were able to take advantage of a seasonal discount. Turns out most wall decoration sources offer frequent promotions, seasonal or otherwise. So if budget is a factor, best to spend some time and patience locking down the best sources and prices. Breno helped us navigate out options, and Riot Reno’s total installation costs were more than fair. At the time I write this review, we are only a few days into enjoying our new “designer” feature wall, looking forward to inviting friends and family to share the dramatic new ambience. Honestly, it’s hard to imagine the better use of a limited budget than investing in a thoughtful, well-designed feature wall. Simply stated, a straight-up WOW factor that will pay for itself in enjoyment and, at some point, resale value. Breno is a classy fella, captivatingly French and an experienced designer himself — a surprise bonus. Our home is now more elegant than ever, thanks in no small part to the many suggestions and design tips that he provided throughout the project. If you’re considering a feature wall for your home or office, be it slat panels or any one of many new (or old) designer wall options, I am absolutely confident in saying that Breno at Riot Reno is the man to talk to first!

I had a really specific vision in mind. I wanted a moody, dark industrial Japanese-style accent wall using faux concrete panels and clean wood slats. Breno from Riot Renovation brought it to life even better than I imagined. He kept the process simple and focused. He measured everything carefully and used an exacto knife to make precise cuts that fit perfectly. The install was super clean, with crisp lines and no mess. It completely changed the feel of the space, especially going up the stairs. The whole vibe is more modern and elevated now. You can tell Breno pays close attention to detail. If you're thinking about custom wall finishes or want to explore modern textures, I highly recommend him.

I had some work done at my townhome installing a wine fridge in what was previously a closet. Breno did a great job handling demo and construction of the space. We had to remove some tile and he was able to remove and replace making it look like new. Overall great job being very timely and keeping the room clean without much dust. Would definitely use him for my next project.
