My husband and I had our tax returns done for over 20 years with Daryl Fick of Fick Bravo & Associates. When my husband developed dementia, I continued my tax returns through Jamie Forsberg for over 6 years. She was great! Unknown to me, Daryl Fick is no longer there. J Bravo has taken over and he is rude. He slandered Jamie's name by saying he fired her for stealing clients. Unprofessional and inappropriate. I paid my retainer and submitted my 1099s early April but my tax return was not completed until October. I left a number of VMs at the front desk and emails to Jamie went unanswered (since she was terminated) in the interim. My tax return went for 5 months unattended. For the first time in my life, I was fined a late fee and penalties since I was not informed I would owe taxes for '24 until October. J Bravo also threatened to get rid of my historical tax files. I'm sure Daryl would not be happy with how things are being handled since he left. Beware!

My father and our family business had been a client of this CPA firm for many years under the original owner, who provided excellent service. After the firm transitioned to new partners, our experience changed significantly.
Requests for documents and information were repeatedly delayed or ignored, despite numerous follow-ups over several months. When we raised our concerns directly, we were told that “a relationship goes both ways” and that they no longer wished to serve us. Truth be told, we had already engaged another CPA firm recognizing that this was not an organization we wanted to continue working with.
In my experience, the current partners have handled client communications and service in a manner that we found very unprofessional. We would strongly encourage prospective clients to carefully evaluate this firm before engaging, as our experience suggests a significant decline in responsiveness and professionalism compared to the prior ownership.

I was very happy with Fick & Associates for at least the past 20 years. Javier was thorough, efficient, personable and gave us great confidence in our tax situation. This past year something has happened to this business- calls are not returned, appointments are not available, preparers are not available and no clue from the front office about what the heck is going on and why our calls are not being returned.
Sadly we had to move on and find another preparer in order to get our taxes done this year.
I hope everyone over there at Fick, Bravo is ok as we really enjoyed you all- wish we didn’t have to move on.

UPDATE: They finally reached out to me over a month later😂😂 they are ridiculously unprofessional. That or they have wayyyyyy too many clients to handle. Wouldn’t even consider them ever again due to lack of availability.
I was 100% ready to continue with them to handle all my cpa needs based off a consultation call. Unfortunately, the person I spoke to said they would reach out to me to set up for further communication. However it has now been three weeks without any follow up. Not sure what happened but so I called and they wanted to charge me a retainer to set up an appointment but I’m not sure they even recognized who I was and were just going to set me up with someone completely different than who I spoke to on the phone and already explained my business to. Just felt super unprofessional after being so ready to move forward. All person on phone could tell me is that they have many consultations a day and just have gotten to me in the notes yet. She literally made me explain everything on the phone again which I felt was a waste of time. Instantly lost all interest because you guys are so busy it takes over 3 weeks to reach out to someone? Ridiculous

My dad has been a client for years and was always pleased with Daryl Fick. However, the past experience was horrible. In summary, they were non-responsive with multiple unsuccessful attempts (phone, email and in person office visit) to try to contact Benjamin. Multiple attempts to contact and non-responsiveness from May 2024 to October 2024 (5 Months!) culminated in a last-minute email to review and sign tax return on 14 OCT 2024, the night before the deadline of 15 OCT 2024. We will have another accountant review and amend as appropriate and will not be returning.
