I chose SD CPA based on the strong reviews, but my experience was disappointing. My return was prepared by someone else in the firm, which was fine, but Alex did not review it before our meeting. I caught multiple errors, including an incorrect full $3,000 capital loss carryover deduction and depreciation that ignored the cost basis I provided. My return is relatively straightforward (two W-2s, capital gains/losses, dividend income and Schedule E), so I expected better attention to detail - especially for a $650 fee. I had to review everything myself, which was frustrating. While the service was completed, I would have appreciated more oversight and accuracy.
