Joe Pina was amazing. He was professional and walked me through everything he was checking and explained everything he was finding in a way that was easy to understand. He never pressured me and helped make process very smooth. I look forward to working with Joe in the future.

We contacted NexGen to diagnose an HVAC issue at my mother's home. The experience started off confusing because their phone system uses an AI agent that sounds incredibly human. My elderly mother couldn't figure out how to navigate it, so I had to call on her behalf. After requesting a live representative, I reached someone at an overseas call center, who scheduled the appointment. The first technician arrived on Thursday, performed the diagnostic, and charged the advertised $114 diagnostic fee. He determined that one of the zone dampers had failed and couldn't complete the repair because additional parts were needed. He also recommended that my mother purchase the correct HVAC filter from Amazon instead of through the company, which honestly saved her money. He was courteous, professional, and transparent. A second technician came out on Saturday. He confirmed the failed damper and also suspected an issue with the HVAC control board after testing voltages. He took the time to explain what he was seeing, which we appreciated. Then the pricing became difficult to understand. The initial estimate was $1,940. We were then told the circuit board would be an additional $700, bringing the total to approximately $2,640. After more discussion, the price suddenly dropped to $1,700 for the entire repair. After researching the parts ourselves, we found the control board sells for around $150, and the damper isn't significantly more expensive. We also learned that this $1,700 repair only came with a one year warranty, which was surprising considering the price. When the technician returned to complete the repair, he brought a used circuit board. My mother was understandably uncomfortable having a used electronic component installed as part of a $1,700 repair and asked to speak directly with a manager. The technician would not provide a manager's phone number and instead called his supervisor himself. My husband spoke with someone from management, and rather than explaining the pricing in terms of premium parts, exceptional workmanship, or a longer warranty, the repeated explanation was simply: "We're a big company." We were told that their higher pricing reflects the fact that they're a large company with billboards, signs, and advertising everywhere. Shortly after that conversation, management instructed the technician to pack up his tools and leave without completing the repair. To be clear, I don't fault either technician. Both were respectful, and the first technician actually helped my mother save money by recommending she purchase her own filter. My disappointment is with NexGen's management and business practices. Between the confusing AI phone system, overseas call center, estimates that changed from $1,940, to $2,640, to $1,700, a one year warranty on a repair costing nearly two thousand dollars, arriving with a used circuit board, refusing to connect us directly with management, and ultimately abandoning the job, this was not the experience we expected. On the bright side, they were refreshingly honest. Instead of telling us the premium pricing was because of superior parts, exceptional service, or an industry-leading warranty, we were simply told it's because they're "a big company" with billboards everywhere. It's not every day a company openly tells you that your repair bill is helping fund their marketing department.

Ronnie Martinez was very polite and helpful. I was very happy with his service. I would like to have him as my regular technician for future projects with my air conditioner. Thank you Ronnie!!! If I could give you more stars I would.

I went in to Home Depot to buy something, and was solicited for this service, offering a HVAC tuneup for $25 - which is a very low price for this kind of service, compared to other providers I have used. The technician was ok - except that he was excessively chatty, asked very personal questions and wouldn't shut up. He looked at the system, and said there was something wrong, and said that a capacitor needs to be replaced. He then proceeded to give me absolutely atrociously high quotations - not just for replacing the part that he said needed to be replaced, but also other services like deep cleaning - and that too priced exorbitantly and outrageously high. This is such a classic bait and switch - offering an initial service at a very low price, and then trying to trap the customer into buying services that are very highly priced - the prices quoted were very obviously ridiculously high priced. I didn't expect this from Home Depot.

Not happy with Nex Gen Plumbing. I was told I needed a new water pressure repair and it would take two hours to complete for around $1500-$1700. I called my plumber, he checked the water pressure and it was 61 instead of 81 (which Nex Gen told me). My plumber said if I needed the repair it would take about 10 minutes. This group is not trustworthy. They already charged me $12,000 for a new tankless water heater install including a permit. My plumber told me I was overcharged by about $4000. Never do business with this group. They can't be trusted. They were here for a tankless flush which was completed, however they came up with me needing a pressure gage repair. I will never do business with these people again and I advise you to do the same.
