Working with Christy was an absolute pleasure from start to finish! She went above and beyond our expectations on our remodel. Christy’s warm, calm, professional demeanor and expertise made the remodel process so much less stressful. We took a 1950s beach cottage that hadn’t been remodeled since the 1970’s and completely gutted it. Christy was instrumental on working on the new creative floorplan right through to the finishing touches. She took the time to understand our vision and worked with us on every detail from color palettes to bathroom and kitchen design. The home went from a potential tear down to a warm, yet modern, beautiful and extremely functional home. We highly recommend Christy B Design!!!

Working with Christy B Home Design has been an excellent experience! We used Christy’s services to re-design a workout space and an adjoining storage area. For us, an ideal designer is someone who can 1) propose interesting and creative design elements that we wouldn’t think of on our own; 2) devise innovative solutions to make any space more functional; and 3) communicate well with contractors to ensure a smooth process and a high-quality result. Christy delivered on all fronts. For example, she maximized the wall space in our workout room by suggesting a mirrored barn door, which not only looks fabulous, but also separates that space from the adjacent storage room. When we brought Christy on board, the storage room was not well organized, and it was difficult to access much of the contents. She suggested commercial-grade rolling shelves in a “storeroom” layout—a truly game-changing addition. Form and function! Throughout the project, Christy was an attentive listener, making suggestions that stayed within our budget and presenting the pros and cons of various options. She was also very patient when we opted to go in a different direction on floor covering than we had originally discussed. She has a positive, upbeat personality and was very professional throughout the entire process. Her pricing is clear—either by the project or by the hour, depending on what is called for. She also recently designed a beautiful custom table cover for us and has completed the initial plans for a master bathroom renovation, which we look forward to completing.

There are not enough adjectives to effectively express the superlative service of Christy B and her consistently extraordinary results. She listens carefully and understands our needs — in many ways better than we do — and synthesizes seemingly random complex collection of ideas into a solid, actionable plan. Of course, there are times when issues arise and, when they do, rest easy knowing that having a trustworthy ally that treats each project as her own is key to success. Christy is personable and genuinely enthusiastic. Her design sensibilities are first class and she carefully curates from the best products and materials. She works with highly-skilled artisans who are pushing beyond the boundaries of their craft. Christy is accessible, approachable and addresses all concerns quickly and effectively. Being highly organized and respected by those she worked with, she orchestrates the entire project with the skill of a conductor, making certain to ensure every aspect of the project surpasses expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend Christy B to anyone who is interested in renovating and transforming any space into what it dreams to be.

I'm a California licensed contractor and have been working with Christy for over ten years. It's been a very positive experience! Sincerely, Christy has always been professional, ethical, reliable, flexible and good natured. She's a terrific communicator, very knowledgeable regarding design & build and is efficient at planing, strategy and implementation. She's very prepared and thorough, which helps make each project go smoothly. I highly recommend her services, and even brought her to help my wife with our own home projects!

Christy only really works currently from word of mouth and I can see why. She has an amazing eye for color and what works, is extremely patient and can help anyone with organization, making a room look good or working on an entire house. For anyone who is design challenged, is not good at picking paint colors or really wants to have an incredible looking home and doesn't know where to start, you must call Christy. The only problem with my recommendation is that with my next project she may be so busy that she can't see me. Seriously, can I give her 6 or 7 stars? I rarely meet anyone with such a bubbly, infectious and positive attitude. She makes even the hardest design and renovation tasks fun.
