Extremely Unprofessional Experience
Our company, Karla's Coffee Cart, was led to believe we had a confirmed business agreement with Cushman & Wakefield, facilitated by Jackie Duarte. After our proposal was accepted, we were given a site visit, encouraged to start early, and told a contract was forthcoming. Based on this, we invested $7,000 in new equipment and turned down other paying clients to honor the agreement.
However, after days of silence, Jackie Duarte only responded when we followed up, suddenly stating that they no longer wanted to proceed because they thought they were paying too much despite already accepting our terms. We even offered lower-cost alternatives to accommodate them, yet they continued to delay and refuse accountability.
This kind of unprofessionalism cost us time, money, and business opportunities. If this is how Cushman & Wakefield operates, businesses should think twice before engaging with them. A company that does not honor its agreements is not one you can trust.

I wouldn't recommend moving here unless you're ready to have your heart repeatedly broken and the only way they fix is it saying "I'm sorry", even after they made you lose a ton of money. The management repeatedly gives you false promises and refuses to honor them. We’ve had a broken garage door for over 8 months. We were told there’s no approved vendors for 5 or 6 months. When there were finally approved vendors, they had at least 3 of them come through our home to inspect the door and to take measurements. Two months later, no communication at all about any repairs. We were told it would take 5 months to order the door. Still no door at this point almost seven months into the issue. But wait a minute, why would a vendor come to measure the door if there was no intention nor door to replace it? Ok, so now, after 8 months of a 10-month lease, we have a vendor we have a door! We finally have a door! Great!
I was called on short notice and was basically told “You have less than 12 hours to clear out the space of the garage so we can fix it.” What?! We figured we should move mountains to have the space ready because we didn’t want to go another 10 months with no door. We cancelled meetings, sacrificed homework assignments (it’s finals week), we stayed up all night to prep the space. In all honesty, we lost a significant amount of money as a result of cancelled meetings and cancelled work. 9 AM comes, no vendor. 10 AM comes, no vendor and still no call. 11 AM comes, no vendor BUT I get a call and it’s “I’m sorry but the vendor went to the wrong unit.” Are you serious??? There’s that infamous “I’m sorry but you get to pay for my mistakes” again. They refuse to fix the problem today after 8 months of waiting, and only provides false promises again. After we moved mountains for them, they refused to lift a finger. Regardless of the business we lost today due to their screw-ups, we are forced once again to accept their empty sorries. Now we have to make ourselves available for yet another day in the hopes they don't screw us over again. The management flat out rejected any requests to refund any portion of the rent we paid as a result of their failure to follow through on their part of the contract.
These people have no regard for your welfare. Their shifting policies have caused me to feel anxiety for weeks on a few occasions. Yes, who wants to sign up for anxiety? Raise your hands! So long as you’re paying your rent the next month, they’ll let you suffer indefinitely. But when the tables are turned, you get 4 days to remedy it or else you're "breaking the lease" and it will be recorded on your record that you had to nerve to follow their suggestions. It’s no wonder so many of the neighbors moved out and we’re surrounded by empty units. All we wanted was a space where we could rightfully have quiet enjoyment and allow our kids to grow. I must say that the experience here has been and continues to be very painful, to put it lightly. It is even worse that the management constantly sets you up on false promises and then crush all your hopes.
Watch out! They'll change all their promises as soon as they get a new investor in the mix. The concept of "grandfathered exceptions" do not exist here.
It's also really sad because the neighbors at the property we're at are great! They’re very friendly and very helpful. They take the time to stop and say hi. They show a genuine concern for our young children. It's hard finding good neighbors like that.

These guys could not possibly be scummier. Please, take your business elsewhere if you're trying to sell a building. If you have to deal with them on a purchase.... don't let them lie to you. They will.
