San Diego Floor & Decor replaced our old carpet on the second floor of our older home with wood laminate in the 3 bedrooms and luxury vinyl tile in the 3 bathrooms and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Fernando was extremely helpful and knowledgeable throughout the project. His crews paid close attention to preparing the subfloors which resulted in a smooth, level, very quiet second floor, a huge improvement from how it was before their work. We are extremely pleased, the floors are beautiful and clearly built to last a long time. And this was all done for a very fair price and in a timely efficient manner. We could not be more pleased and definitely recommend Fernando and use San Diego Floor & Decor for future projects of our own.

I cannot speak highly enough about the professionalism from the team to the general contractor in charge. I recently had them do flooring throughout out my entire house, a bar with keg/wine refrigerator installed and a kitchen remodel. During the demo process, they kept the house as clean as possible. Only minor scuffs and damages to newly painted walls that were easily fixable. They took great care covering absolutely everything and cleaning each day as they went and before the days end. They started the project Monday after thanks giving on the 28th of August and the whole remodel took them about 3 weeks, an early Christmas gift for our family. Fernando, Cesar, were patient and addressed all My concerns as I found them and any last minute ones just before they were completed. They even pressure washed my patios where they needed to do some cutting going above and beyond. If I could give them more stars I would. I have been around the block with other contractors, but these guys are the real deal.

Where to begin... we purchased a sixteen year old home in Rolling Hills Ranch in East Chula Vista in Feb. Because we have a special needs son, we needed our timeline to done as quickly as reasonably possible (living with our daughter in a condo was a little tight). We contacted Fernando after he had done the floors in my daughter's condo and they did a really nice job. We met with Fernando at the house and walked through what we wanted done (basically gut the entire house and put in all new and updated stuff). two days later, he gave us our line item bid. I really liked how he broke down everything instead of just lumping it all together with one price. He also told us that he also has workers who specialize in a job and they only do that job. Flooring is done by flooring experts. Tile by tile expert. Cabinets put in by a cabinet team. Our last remodel with another contractor used the "jack of all trades" workers who knew enough to get the job done but not as sharp as Fernando's team. After getting everything laid out, he gave us a four to six week timeline, which surprised me a bit since our last remodel was roughly the same amount of work and it took 18 weeks. Fernando said his teams work quickly but efficiently and assured me that the timeline was doable. The day after we closed, Fernando met with his team at the house and went over the whole project with them. The next day, with a dumpster in the driveway, ten guys came in and started gutting the house. Two days and it was a shell of what it was to start. Within a week, cabinets were on site and being assembled. We threw Fernando a curve and decided to gut and redo the two guest bathrooms since we were redoing the rest of the house. He told us no problem and promised to keep the timeline intact. Every day, something new was completed and the remodel came together without too many issues. My wife is very "visual" so before things were finalized, Fernando had his team hold off until she could see it, and make any adjustments if necessary (which was seldom). As we hit the five week mark, I thought we might need more time, but Fernando's team came in on a Saturday and he had workers doing detail and finishing work. The final two days was touch up and clean up. We were extremely happy with the work that was done. I've already recommended Fernando to a couple of people and several other friends say they will want his number when they have work to do. Some of the key things we loved about Fernando's work: He is very detail oriented. This shows with how he keeps records and his detailed bid breakdown. He makes sure the work area stays clean and picked up. He monitors the work and if he sees something he doesn't think is up to par, he has the workers correct it. He sticks to his word and timeline. He finished our job in less than six weeks, which again, I never thought would happen. He doesn't pull his workers off your job to start a job elsewhere. Our last contractor started with four guys and then we had one guy showing up for a few hours here and there to finish work His pricing is reasonable. It might be a bit higher than low ball contractors but you definitely get what you pay for! He used his experience to give us suggestions for some subtle things we didn't think of. For example, in the two guest baths, he suggested putting two lights above the shower tub/stall. I was amazed at how those two little lights could set off the bath/shower area. He doesn't ditch you after the job is done. We had a couple of minor issues that needed to be fixed that was overlooked during our walk through and he had guys on site the next day to fix them up. His workers are very friendly, professional and respectful. Like Fernando, they want to make sure you are happy with their work. I've had experiences with not so good contractors who did work for a low price, but the quality was also low. That is not the case with Fernando. You are going to get an honest and hardworking team who will respect you and your home.

We reached out to Fernando after we purchased a 3-unit apartment building. We wanted to do a full interior remodel with a few exterior touch ups. We interviewed and received quotes from four different contractors. Fernando blew us away with his professionalism and communication. He did not come in at the cheapest; but, he gave us a great quote for the work, was very professional, and timely. We selected him to do the full remodel. When we initially interviewed him, he said it would take no longer than 6 weeks to do the remodel (others quotes 8-14 weeks). Fernando and his team were done in less than 6 weeks and it turned out fabulous; better than I could have imagined. With any large project, there were a few hiccups; but, Fernando handled those in the most professional and fair manner possible. We could not have picked a better person to lead the remodel efforts. We did the remodel in the summer of 2018. Since then, we have used Fernando and his team to do some smaller repair jobs at some of our properties throughout San Diego. The same professionalism and fairness that was displayed initially is always present when we work with Fernando and his team. We highly recommend using him for whatever contracting needs you have! We certainly will be!

Entire experience from begining to end was great. Fernando kept us updated throughout the whole process. The work was completed faster then expected and came out better then I would of ever imagined. Would recommend and will be back for other projects!
