Alex at LA Construction provided me a competitive quote for room restoration after a water leak. I chose him out of 4 bids because he had a more complex view of what needed to be done.He was very specific in the types of adhesives for high placed wall tile and took time to waterproof all the installed wood. He has electrician skills and added a wall fan and special effect channel lighting and added extra outlets for convenience. His flooring fit and finish was excellent, and I had him continue work in 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. He was able to diagnose shoddy beams and wood structure by simply measuring. He saved me money by jacking up my roof and replacing major beams for support. He is also trained in HVAC, and connected me with a reputable company to replace 4 heat pumps. I would summarize his abilities as a true artisan. He has expedience in total building refurbishment in old New York buildings, and even with this experience he was always open to a different approach and always honored my input. His bids were fair and he often saved me large amounts knowing where to get materials at an advantageous price. I have enjoyed his friendship in addition to his great work.

Alex was absolutely amazing! We bought our first home and needed all new stair railings. From beginning to end, Alex was great in every way. He came out immediately to give us a price, and was able to begin the same week. our stairs turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined. We will be calling Alex for any future needs for sure! Thank you Alex!

Alex is a very good person. He used his professionalism and patience to explain many engineering principles to us. He carefully analyzed the problems and told us his construction sequence. He also considered how to protect the family when there are babies at home. It is cleaner, hygienic and safer. The floor tiles in the shower room are seamless. Alex specially helped me match the color to the wall, which makes me feel very relieved. The price is also reasonable! Highly recommend him!

Alex is a true professional. We asked him for help with some drywall repairs and after an incredible job, we called him back to remodel our kitchen. Our home looks like a model. I recommend Alex to friends and family, he is detailed oriented, professional, and highly skilled.

Alex did an excellent job on our stair rail installation! He was quick to respond, very knowledgeable, and a respectable guy. We appreciated his feedback and desire to do a good job. We love how our stairs look!
