H&R block is cheaper with the same level of service. We worked w/ Cynthia for one year. When we first spoke with her, we expressed our desire to work with a strategic CPA that could work with our financial advisor. She agreed and even sat down for a meeting with our financial advisor. That's basically were it ended. We recieved the same level of service that we recieved at H&R block the previous year. In fact, H&R block was friendlier. We needed to make some strategic decisions with selling our home (captial gains). It felt that we were just a burden on Cynthia. Additionally, she communicates only over email and utilizes a tax organizer. "Due to the numerous issues experienced with USPS last year, I’m providing your tax organizer, engagement letter and CPA Update via this email." I was not able to set up a phone consultation for taxes. When we reached out for help to make decisions we recieved this response: "I was out of the office last Thursday afternoon and all day Friday. Also, just to give you an FYI, while I’m in tax season, I don’t do any consulting, as my priority is getting clients tax returns completed. I have over 300 clients who depend on me to ensure their tax reporting needs are met in a timely fashion and if I stop to answer consulting emails or phone calls, I wouldn’t get anything done. Something to keep in mind. I would completely understand if you need to find another CPA that offers consulting services during the tax season." She then prepared our taxes before we actually sold our home and wanted to charge us a second fee for multiple tax preperation. I provided her the email stating we were holding off and she waived it. When we finally filed our taxes, my wife had issues paying her the $650 tax preparation fee via VENMO. My wife had asked her for the last four of her phone number and her response was again rude: "I have hundreds of clients that pay me via VENMO and while VENMO doesn’t make it easy to see, you can pay without confirming. It’s at the very bottom, in very light ink in very small print, “send without confirming”. They just want to release themselves of any liability by having you enter in the information." You can see the passive agressiveness. It's important to note, that at no time were we ever rude or disrepectful to Cynthia. We simply were asking questions that she had agreed to help us with. Again, at the begining of this relationship we asked for a "strategic" accountant. She fired us in the end. "I received your payment and your returns have been efiled and accepted by the tax agencies. Attached is the acceptance confirmation for your records. As you will undoubtedly receive tax notices assessing penalties, my recommendation is you contact the agency and see if they have a one-time penalty abatement. On another note, my work load has gotten extremely busy, in addition to I’m moving more into retirement planning than tax preparation, so I will not be able to continue to provide you tax preparation services in the future." We wasted our time and money with Cynthia. If you have simple taxes to be done, we recommend using H&R block. It's cheaper, with the same level of service. If your looking for a strategic accountant. Look elsewhere.

I have worked with several CPAs on my return and when I found Cynthia, I was surprised by how much work she put into to make sure the return is accurate and her clients get the best results. She takes the time to update us on the tax law changes and how that will impact our results. She is very busy and can not take on many clients but if you do become her clients, you will have the best CPA on your side. Highly recommend her.

Cynthia is the CPA for my wife and myself as well as for our two sons. We have been extremely impressed with her expertise. We are also extremely impressed and pleased with the personal service that she offers. She takes the time to get to know you and your situation and that makes a difference in the way she is able to do our work for us. Cynthia’s has helped us with our income tax and she cleared up the mess I made by trying to do them myself for a couple of years. She has quickly resolved two issues we had with the IRS.
