Great company, great service, hard working employees. Dont listen to the singular bad review, its their fault on their end, and every customer I know has been satisfied and nothing wrong, also more people need to leave good reviews on the Google page of Cogent itself. 5/5

We've been with these guys for 3 years now and during this time we've had FIVE outages. Two of those due to internet related issues and 3 power outages. The worst one being TODAY - and if you read this believe me, because it is the FIRST, 1st of January 2026 and their power on their San Diego DC went down for several hours. Can you imagine this happening to your business on the 1st of January when most of your staff are on holiday and now they are expected to come in to fix the mess this cowboy run company made? Worst part is that they will brush this off as if it was nothing important and I know this because we've asked them to provide even a small credit for their previous outages and they came back with ZERO. The problem is that we have an entire rack with these guys, multiple servers and a lot of fixed IPs. Moving to another provider will require days of reconfiguration, but with every outage I'm getting closer every time to pulling the plug (pun intended). Whatever you do, if you're thinking / evaluating DC's - do not make the same mistake I did, please I beg you, find another company and save yourself a lot of stress and headache. Finally, I just noticed I'm the first reviewer to leave a review here - there's never been a review? - well, this doesn't completely surprise me because the type of people that use DC's are not the type to leave reviews and I guess this is why I didn't leave any every other instance, but I'm sick of it and I am doing my 2 cents so that if you're evaluating DC's I will know that I saved you a massive headache or at least an "I told you so" will be in order if you ignore my warning. Other than that, take care and since it is 3pm on the 1st of January 2026, happy new year.
