Jon and his team at JDC Build surpassed my expectations, and redefined the ADU concept. Hours of consultation with the design team created a beautiful blueprint for my new home on property where my daughter and family live. My home is 825 sq. ft. with vaulted ceilings, surround windows, pocket doors, and carefully selected floors, wooden custom cabinets, and state of the art tile and fixtures, and energy efficient, all electric appliances and HVAC system. All of the lighting fixtures and ceiling fans were carefully selected to complement the architecture. A side yard became a beautiful entrance with a Xeriscape landscape, succulents, decorative pots, new wooden gate, fencing, and decking. The master bedroom has a slider that opens onto a private patio with pony wall, overlooking an orchard on the slope, and a surround view of the horizon. A pebble path connects the bedroom patio with the side Italian tile patio where there is a bar with large hydraulic window to open for serving from the kitchen. In the kitchen there is a 48” wide peninsula and surrounding counters of callacata quartz. There is a studio/guest room that contains a storage closet and laundry center, and it has French pocket doors for privacy. The bathroom has a seamless walk-in shower with slanted floor to the drain and a floating vanity. Jon and his team are always available to answer questions and explain every aspect of the build. I’ll continue to use his highly trained sub-contractors (plumbing and electrical) projects. I highly recommend JDC Build for a classic building experience.

JDC construction is the best contractor in San Diego, and I’m not exaggerating. After doing a stellar job converting my detached garage into an ADU back in 2021, Jon and his team were helpful and responsive when three years later SDGE found a very small gas leak in one of the pipes they installed. Jon was very professional working through the issue with us even though it had been three years! Ultimately, Jon and his team fixed the leak free of charge. JDC is a customer focused high quality team that stands behind their work (even three years later!). You don’t find people like that anymore. They’re top notch, professional and trustworthy. I would highly recommend JDC for any construction or renovation project you’re considering.

I would recommend Jon and his team to anyone looking to do a home project. We recently did a master bathroom remodel. It involved demo, new vanity install, bathtub to walk in shower conversion , tile work, drywall repair/finish/paint and recess light installation. Additionally, they also re-tiled my front stoop. JDC Building is the big company with the small company feel. They were very patient with my homeowner questions and concerns. The online portal made reviewing orders and payments accessible.
