We were fortunate to have Marea help us with two projects in the past five years. The first project was a remodel of our kitchen, family room and bath. The second project was our master bedroom and bath, which we just completed. Our home is twenty-three years old and needed an update/refresh. It has been very helpful to have Marea and ADS designing and overseeing our two projects. She is a very good listener and has a great eye for colors, fabrics, window treatments, wallpapers, light fixtures, and flooring. We did not need furniture for these projects but will ask for help with furniture when we update our dining and living rooms in the future. Marea is very good at space planning and we will use her expertise when planning furniture layouts for these rooms. The best part of having Marea as our designer is that the end results have been more beautiful and creative than had we searched out products and planned on our own. As a designer she has access to many companies and products, and we love the materials she selected for both of our projects. Our recent project, the master bedroom and bath, have beautiful drapes, chair fabrics, bedding and wallpaper. It is a very serene space, and we love it!

We moved to San Diego in April of 2025. Our new house was very different from our old, so we did not bring any furniture with us. We asked Marea and her team to handle all aspects of the interior design. The house was a classic real estate look with white walls everywhere. We only gave Marea a very general idea of what we wanted, but she took it and ran with it. She developed a comprehensive plan with choices of furniture, rugs, treatments, paint - including actual samples! We worked collaboratively through a number of iterations, with Marea supporting and advising along the way. Marea also coordinated a number of trades with a number of construction and electrical projects to support the design. We are very happy with the outcome and love the space that Marea and her team helped create!

We brought ADS onto our project when we realized our design-build contractor was a lot heavier on the 'build' than the 'design'. Marea was invaluable in helping us utilize our space and come up with ideas we wouldn't have by ourselves. Not only is Marea a great designer, but she is communicative, thorough, and genuinely a nice person to be around. She went above and beyond when our original contractor backed out on us and tried to find us replacement. In addition, she remained extremely professional with a very challenging contractor personality. On a final note, we were a couple that did not think we needed an interior designer, but now we could not imagine how the renovation would have gone without ADS. We would recommend Marea and her team to anyone!

Working with Marea and her team at ADS was a pleasure from start to finish. I take any chance I have to refer a friend or acquaintance to A Designed Space, knowing they'll be in good hands.
