After a water container leaked in our pantry and seeped underneath the laminate, we wanted to replace the laminate with a more waterproof flooring material but were having difficulty finding a company that does both laminate and tile installation for smaller projects. I was very excited to find Interior Technique Flooring through Yelp, as many of the reviews mentioned how helpful they are with repairing flooring after flooding and that they specialize in all kinds of flooring as well. The reviews also mentioned how friendly the owners and installers are, and I couldn't agree more after working with them on this project. Dustin was very helpful and creative and offered several different solutions to help us use existing floorboards to repair the area in front of our pantry so that the color match would be seamless. We decided to make our whole kitchen tile to help prevent future flooding problems and also provide a fun pop of color. We selected the tile from the ones they had in their showroom, and Ryan was very helpful with getting us a sample to take home and giving us info on the tile options. Mike made sure that scheduling went smoothly and our kitchen was back to normal within 5 days which was so helpful given we have a three year old daughter who wanted to check out all exposed sub flooring. We also have to give a shout out to the laminate and tile installers and the plumber as well. Everyone did a great job and was very clean and polite. We definitely recommend Interior Technique Flooring and are grateful that our flooding situation ended up being a happy accident as we love our kitchen even more now than ever, thanks to Dustin, Mike, Ryan and the rest of the team.

Have to say that this was just the best possible experience I could have had. If you are looking for a nice, timely, and cost-effective team that does great work. You have found them! After months of searching for a contractor and not getting a response from dozens, I got in touch with the team at Interview Technique, and they got back to me the same day, had a video call to do an initial assessment, and then came by the following day to provide a quote. When Dustin (the owner) arrived, he went way above and beyond to explain everything to me and provide a quote. The item that was just so above and beyond was his attention to detail, friendliness, communication, and promptness. I know?!?! It is unheard of with contractors. He gave me an option that no one else had thought of to limit the cost and get the best possible outcome. They then fit me into their schedule before the holiday so that it was done in time for family (within two weeks) and came in and out got the job done in less time than they thought (another just wow) and no surprise costs. Everything you have come to fear with contractors, no-shows, delays in projects, bad communication, and surprise costs are just nowhere in sight with this team. With having two kids and two (stinky) pets, we knew that it was finally time to get rid of our 15+ year old worn out carpet and replace it with a hardwood flooring of some type (vinyl, laminate, etc.). Since we wanted the flooring to also be installed on the stairs, it was important to me to have something that complimented the existing downstairs flooring (we have porcelain tile that looks like wood). We stopped by Interior Technique Flooring on a Friday afternoon and met with one of the owners, Dustin, in the showroom. The showroom has a ton of different brands, styles and types of flooring to choose from. We discussed our wish list with Dustin and we settled on either a waterproof laminate (who knew that even existed!?!) or a luxury vinyl plank. He was extremely patient with us and pulled out a LOT of samples to help to match our porcelain tile. Even though it was later in the day on a Friday, Dustin offered to come over to our house right away to take measurements. We ultimately decided on using a luxury vinyl plank, Provenza "Finally Mine". The quote was reasonable and included some water damage repair to the master bathroom. When the crew arrived to start the installation, it was obvious that they were very experienced and skilled. They showed up on time every morning and made sure they cleaned up before they left for the day. Everyone was polite and even offered my husband some advice on installing baseboards since we decided to replace them ourselves (although Interior Technique does offer this service). Dustin was always available to answer questions via phone or in person (and my husband asks a lot of questions!). The job took about a week to complete. We are extremely happy with the end result! The floors are gorgeous and they almost perfectly match the tile floor downstairs (see close up photo of the stairs meeting the tile). The customer service from day 1 was outstanding!
