I am writing to formally make a complaint against Golden Capital Group / GCG Fund 1, LLC, regarding an unreasonable loan cancellation decision that resulted in significant time, resources, and financial harm to my investment activities. On October 13th, I applied for funding with Golden Capital Group / GCG Fund 1, LLC, for a property refinance on a 7-unit property in Los Angeles, CA. Throughout the process, I met all application requirements and cooperated fully in completing their approval steps, including a credit check and providing extensive documentation. However, at an advanced stage in the process, Golden Capital Group introduced an unexpected requirement that I meet with their representative on-site at the property. This was not part of any written agreement or loan stipulation, and it conflicted with the practical concern of respecting tenant privacy at the property. As a reasonable alternative, I offered to meet with their representative offsite, either at their office or a mutually convenient location, to satisfy their request for verification. Despite my good-faith efforts to accommodate this request, Golden Capital Group / GCG Fund 1, LLC declined my offer and subsequently canceled the loan. This decision was arbitrary and unsupported by any contractual condition, resulting in lost time, a hit to my credit score due to the credit inquiry, and an unnecessary delay in my investment plans. I believe Golden Capital Group’s actions constitute poor business practice. Their refusal to complete the loan without a reasonable basis reflects a lack of transparency and a failure to accommodate clients fairly, particularly as their requirement was not disclosed at the outset. This experience has left me with financial and logistical consequences, as well as a damaged professional relationship with the previous lender. I respectfully warn anyone to who decides to move forward with Golden Capital Group / GCG Fund 1, LLC’s to thoroughly vet them and their arbitrary business practices, and I hope this company will use my experience to improved standards for consumer fairness in the financial industry for deals to come. That is all.

The team at Golden Capital Group were great to work with. They all had great communication, and a sense of urgency to make sure our deadlines could be met.
