I was excited to work with the Tax Gals this year because I have an unusual filing situation and really needed support from an expert. I was scheduled for an appointment two days ago, but I fell ill (as many parents with little ones in daycare can relate) and didn’t want to risk exposing anyone during such a busy time in tax season. I received a voicemail to reschedule and returned the call, but wasn’t able to reach anyone. I called again this morning (less than 48 hours later) and was surprised to learn that my appointment had been given away and the team was now fully booked. I hadn’t been informed that my spot wouldn’t be held or that availability was filling up quickly, so the sudden loss of the appointment was unexpected. I was drawn to this business because I assumed it would be especially understanding and supportive, particularly for parents/moms navigating complex tax years. Instead, I was offered a drop‑off service at the same price, without the opportunity to speak with a professional or ask questions. It left me feeling that customer service and communication weren’t prioritized, and that the focus was more on volume than on client experience. I understand it’s a busy season and that schedules move quickly, but clearer communication about the risk of losing my appointment would have made a huge difference.

I have to say it breaks my heart how awful my experiences has been the last two years, just called to schedule my taxes and they are booked, the person I spoke to could care less, didnt even try to schedule mes, and I've been a loyal client since 2023 first with Kassia now with Teri and they have no concern for the clients they had before they were so busy. Its really sad, I originally came here because they are women doing taxes. I now have to find somewhere else, and literally they don't care. So I will update once I find a new place.

I really liked my initial interaction with the tax gals but when my tax person was unavailable and i had to call the front desk to find another consultant, I felt like I was being such a bother. I left feeling stupid for the questions I asked and reconsidered even calling to schedule an appointment. I will probably be canceling my appointment and find another tax office :(

I left the necessary filing documentation during an in person meeting at the office. The meeting was only 5 days before the filing deadline so Yazuli and I agreed that filing an extension is realistic and handling the returns at the end of May will be what I can expect. I was told that the following day she would reach out if they need anything else. They did not reach out so I sent 2 emails, called the office and left a call back request with their receptionist and nobody replied until 2 days after the deadline passed letting me know that the extension was not filed and they do not take on new clients. Now I have to deal with the consequences of a no filing. Very sloppy and very unprofessional.

The Tax Gals is the best tax preparation service! Terri has done our taxes for over 5 years and she has always done a fantastic job, very professional and accurate. We moved to another state and she still has done our taxes perfectly fine! Highly recommend the Tax Gals for tax preparation!
