We purchased wood flooring and had it installed by MPS. The quality of the service was exceptional. The sales process and communication was great. The installation was even better. AMAZING Crew! They always arrived on time, did craftsman level detail work and always cleaned up before they left. We had wood flooring installed throughout our house and it all looks great. The quality really shows where they transitioned from wood flooring to another flooring type or around our fireplace. The price was comparable to other bids to got. So glad we chose MPS. Thank you MPS.

If Yelp had the ability to give 10 stars, that's what I would give MPS Flooring. Best contractor experience in my lifetime. Allow me to explain. I don't trust most contractors. I don't like most contractors. I put them on the same level as personal injury attorneys and people that kick cats & dogs. If you're considering using Mike Pillar & Sons and reading this review, you probably feel the same way and are in angst (like I was) of which flooring contractor to choose. The author Hunter S. Thompson wrote this about the music business and I think it applies to the contracting business as well, so I've changed a few words. "The Southern California residential contracting industry is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long cement hallway where pimps and thieves run free, and good men's wallets die like dogs. There's also a negative side" MPS is the complete opposite of the above. Michael Pillar and his crew, including their scheduler / office manager, Heidi, are amazing. From my first meeting with Michael he gave me options, ideas, guidance and most importantly, knowledge. Never once did I feel like was trying to bump me up for extras. He explained the pros and cons of everything without a know-it-all, "you're dumb if you don't do it this way" attitude like the vast majority of contractors. His lead crew guys, Miguel and Delfino, were great. Always upbeat and worked nice and steady. Never rushing and no games. It was obvious they care about the quality of their work. And at the end of each day the cleaned up the work area of every speck of dust. Never once during the entire process did I get a "opps..we forgot to tell you" type of surprise. The finished product was....perfect. ** Probably the best way to express my happiness with this company is I actually ENJOYED writing them checks. Thank you, MPS. My only regret is I don't have another floor for you to install :)

MPS Floors installed beautiful Hennessy wood floors throughout most of our home. The crew was lead by Senedo, who is very professional, highly skilled, clean, and meticulous. We were very impressed with the quality of the work, including the skill involved in removing the existing tile, leveling all of our floors, removing and replacing baseboards, creating a beautiful layout with the different shades of wood, framing the area around the fireplace, and installing the wood perfectly. We highly recommend using MPS Floors. Mike Pillar, Claudio, and Heidi are also a pleasure to work with.

This is the second time in 20 years we have done our hardwoods with Mike Pillar. The team went above my expectations. Moving my furniture to the garage, covering in plastic, showing us stains and mixes to compare. Very detail oriented and great craft. End result was beautiful. People are Friendly and hard working. Highly recommend using this local business.

Mike Pillar and Sons just finished installing some flooring for us in an area where we had carpet. They were able to find the exact wood that we needed to match to our existing wood and did a seamless job. They were in and out in 1 day and everything went smoothly. I would definitely recommend them over and over again. Thanks!
