I hired Coastal Colors based upon their many great reviews. I had them perform a complete interior painting in a 3400 sq. ft. home. They also did our island in the kitchen and a large book unit in the living room. Michael was very attentive in getting back, Answering question and solving problems during the entire process of the project. There were a few problems that had to be addressed and a few that still remain. My biggest issue was with the paint they used on the project. During the entire discussions of doing our project which was about a two month period. We had shown Michael, paint samples and colors from Sherwood Williams. We honestly believed he had bided the project using Sherwood Williams paint. At the last minute he informed us. ( I would say about a week before he was to start the project.) That he uses Vista Paint. I repeatedly asked him if it was the same quality as Sherwood Williams Paint. He assured us in no uncertain terms that Vista Paint was the same quality and Standards as Sherwood Williams Paint. He also assured us the color match was the same. Well after having the paint on the walls for six months the quality of the Vista Paint is not the same quality of Sherwood Williams paint. Having owned, over 12 homes and painted or have had painted. the Vista paint quality and colors are vastly different. I feel like it was a last minute switch after he had already bid the project using Vista Paint. and we didn't wan to hold up the project any longer. Please let people know that when you start to work with them, and they are showing you paint samples from various companies that you use Vista Paint on you projects. This will allow them the opportunity, to inform you that's fine, or to use the company of their choice so you can bid it appropriately.

We’ve only begun working with them. Great work and HONEST. We had some mildew and staining on our white stucco house. I’d inquired about painting the exterior, but Michael gave the very honest opinion that it didn’t seem needed at the time. He power washed our house instead and did a great job. House looks great and it was not expensive. Next on the list, refinishing our deck. Highly recommend!

It was a great pleasure to work with Michael and Julie. Michael is an expert at his craft and his passion for his work really shows through the quality. I had my cabinets painted from a base oak style 90s cabinet. The finished product is incredibly sleek and smooth, and looks factory new. I will also add that despite a cheaper quote for the cabinets, I decided on Coastal Colors because my gut said they would be excellent, and I was not disappointed. With Coastal Colors, your money is going toward craftsmanship on your cabinets, not just paint, so I would recommend considering that if comparing quotes.

I’m new to SOCAL and most things around here need paint! 😌I found Coastal Colors in my map, painter near me. Julie sent me to Vista paint for color ideas, got me a bid, and scheduled the job. Michael showed up and did everything he said he would. The job was complete, exactly as I wanted it in 4 days! I left a key for my vacant home and every evening I peeked in I was impressed with what I seen! I would call on them again and definitely recommend them to anyone that needs a good reliable painter!
