I'm giving a 1-star review as a zero-star isn't available. They were given a seven day notice via e-mail for payoffs for a loan we provided to a client. Four days later, we reached out to them about the payoffs, and their customer service stated they never received such an e-mail. OK, fine. So we requested an expedited payoff so we can get paid by the title company after closing. It's been another three days since that conversation and they've yet to provide the title company with the payoffs. Now they're not answering e-mails or phone calls. I will never again trust this company for loan servicing, or any other service, and I suggest the reader look somewhere else for these services.

This company was servicing first trust deeds in my IRA and sending the money to Specialized Trust. When I stopped receiving money with one trust deed, I contacted them and was told to contact Specialized Trust. When I contacted Specialized Trust I was told to contact Del Toro. Years later I found out that the last of my first trust deeds had been paid off but never received anything indicating this. The payment just stopped. When I went back over all the documentation that was sent to Specialized Trust, I found their statements indicated the amount of the account remaining but again when it was paid off in full neither Del Toro nor Specialized Trust informed me. Specialized Trust said they didn't know and I discovered they had reported the market value of my asset in my IRA to the IRS (that was paid off) as $44,000 when it was 0. As a result I was forced to take out more of a required mandatory distribution that I should have. Del Toro dropped the ball because on my other trust deeds I was informed when they were paid off. Damage was done to my finances and I am not happy about either company.

As a California based private lender I can attest that Del Toro is by far the best servicing partner. I have used a number of other providers in the state and given Del Toro's focus on client support (both lender and borrower) and the availability to get a live person on the phone and be proactive with a variety of issues I am happy to give this 5 star review. Highly recommended !!

I have used many servicers over the years and Del Toro has won the top spot for me. They have an army of people with a dedicated person for each department which are accessible by phone. Each person I have dealt with has a customer service attitude and you get the feeling your business is valued rather than just being another account. Lizette has been my main point of contact and is knowledgeable, always courteous and responsive. Thank you Del Toro.

I have had Del Toro servicing over 60 loans and am more than satisfied with the professionalism of the staff. My point person Tonya is extremely responsive not only to me, but to my investor partners if and when we need help. When I need to get anything handled, their entire staff gets its done in a very acceptable timely fashion. Their controller Enrique as well as Rebecca, Rachelle and Diana are also extremely helpful. The cost is very reasonable for what they do, and I consider this company to be an asset for my business.
