I typically only take the time to write reviews for either exceptional service or very poor service. I have recently been trying to help my mother through her roofing/home repair remotely because we live several hours apart, and I have a full-time job and full-time family. She is also a senior citizen who lives alone and can be easily taken advantage of. We hired a different company she found in a local mailer out of convenience, who subsequently informed my mom that she needed a new roof after several change orders and price increases. After that can of worms got opened, we wanted to get several quotes for the project to make sure the price we were given was a fair price and to make an informed decision before proceeding. The first two companies we talked to used pressure sales tactics and untrustworthy offers, like presenting a high price at first and then talking to their boss and getting a “special deal” that sounded too good to be true, only “if we signed a contract now” and would not leave or take no for an answer.
