What should I look for in CAM charges before signing a lease?
Good question. A few things to watch for: make sure the lease caps controllable CAM increases (typically 3-5% annually). Ask for an itemized breakdown of last year's actual charges. Watch for admin fees, as some landlords add 10-15% on top. And always request audit rights.
